How do make a big church smaller? How can a newcomer to our church begin to build relationships and friendships with others? One thing we do is divide our adult congregation into twelve age-based fellowship groups. These groups meet occasionally throughout the year to enjoy time together, build friendships, and encourage one another.
These fellowship groups provide centers for care and encouragement when people are in the hospital, have recently had a baby, or have lost a family member. Groups also look for opportunities to serve together, including taking the opportunity once a year to lead a worship service at the Peoria Rescue Mission.
The list below details the names of the various fellowship groups, their age bracket, and the deacon who leads each respective group. Watch the bulletin each week for upcoming fellowship group events!
