The Big 5
Tim Bertsche

If you go on a game Safari in Chobe National Park, in Botswana, your guide will do all he can to help you find the African “Big Five:” elephant, rhino, water buffalo, lion and leopard. These are some of the largest and most elusive animals to see in the wild.  There are another ‘big five’ that can run wild in our spiritual lives and are hard to control: fear, discontentment, lack of trust, resentment, and unforgiveness. Come join us this quarter as we study and discuss God’s word - and let His truth shed light on these beasts that are often hard to tame and can sap our joy in the Lord.  Our key verse will be Galatians 5: “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.”

The Gospel Project
Jonathan Farrell

Join us as we begin a journey of walking through God’s Word and understanding God’s Great Story! We’ll kick off this quarter in the book of Numbers. Along with the chance to grow personally, for those who are parents, we’ll be studying the lessons each week that your children are learning in their Sunday School class - making lunch-table conversations a great (and perhaps easier!) place for discipleship and spiritual discussions.

Praying Scripture Together
Jon and Jolene Rocke

“We pray when there’s nothing else we can do, but Jesus wants us to pray before we do anything at all”, wrote Oswald Chambers. Our time together this quarter will be spent “Praying Together,” using Scripture as our guide and outline each week. We also plan to share some ideas along the way to encourage our private prayer lives.  What a sweet fellowship it is to pray with other believers through the Word of God. We will seek to have our hearts in tune with God’s heart.

Intersections with Scripture
Charlie Dean and Others

What was the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah?  Genesis 5, how boring is that? Is Hell a real place?  Do you ever ask questions like these?  This course will take you through various passages of scripture where the instructors have had an “AHA” moment and God has revealed something special to them. Each week will be a different topic. Come prepared to interact and see what God will reveal to you!

Village Identity
Matt Chandler

In this class we’ll watch sermons Matt Chandler provided for his own church, The Village Church. He describes the series like this, “What is God’s mission? What is the mission of The Village Church? Village Identity explores what a maturing disciple looks like at The Village, focusing on the mission of the church: to bring glory to God by making disciples through gospel-centered worship, gospel-centered community, gospel-centered service and gospel-centered multiplication.”
