Love Like That

Scott Estes

We often picture deep-thinking philosophers tackling questions such as “What is the meaning of life?” and “What is the definition of love?”  For the Christian, the key of life and love are found in the person of Jesus Christ.  In this study, based on the book “Love Like That: 5 Relationship Secrets from Jesus” by Les Parrott, we will examine how Jesus loved and why his example is intended to affect how we build relationships with others.  No matter if it is family, friends, co- workers, strangers, or even those who consider themselves our enemies, this study will challenge our hearts to see people as the Savior does.

Wisdom’s Wellspring: An Introduction to the Biblical Wisdom Tradition

Brandon Worner

“But where shall wisdom be found?
And where is the place of understanding?
Man does not know its worth,
and it is not found in the land of the living.
God understands the way to it,
and he knows its place.
And he said to man,
‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom,
and to turn away from evil is understanding.’” (Job 28)

What is wisdom? What does it mean to be wise? Does wisdom play a role in your daily life? How does one become wise? Can wisdom be unearthed or is it merely a rumor that one hears about? This class is designed to journey through what has come to be known as the wisdom literature of the Bible, and the thread that ties them all together - the fear of the Lord. At a 30,000 foot level, we will work through the wisdom books of scripture most closely associated with King Solomon, as well as Job, and how they invite the reader to consider the complexity and simplicity of living wisely as humans experiencing life under the sun.

Big Rocks of the Christian’s Faith

Joe Rohde

As a part of the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20, we are instructed to “teach them all things that I have commanded you”. Sometimes we feel like the “all things” are coming at an overwhelming pace, like drinking from a fire hose. It can seem that way because we lack knowledge of some of the ground level truths in Scripture. We will take a look at the foundation stones in Scripture that much of the teaching we hear builds upon. These 10 foundation stones are the basis of life-long learning as a part of Christians’ expedition through this earthly life.

The Gospel Project

Mark Getz

A Nation Divided: God speaks (1–2 Kings), God judges (2 Kings; Prophets), and God shows mercy (2 Chronicles; Prophets).

Join us as we journey through God’s Word and understand God’s Great Story! Along with the chance to grow personally, for those who are parents, we’ll be studying the lessons your children are learning each week in their Sunday School class - making lunch-table conversations a great (and perhaps easier!) place for discipleship and spiritual discussions.

Praying Scripture Together

Brad Kennell

The prayer class is back! Using Scripture as our guide and outline each week we will spend time praying together! This is not a lecture time about prayer, but primarily vertical prayers of praise or lament directed towards our great God who is worthy to be praised! What a sweet fellowship it is to pray with other believers through the Word of God.
